Steradian Architects designs residences, institutions, hotels, and religious and community buildings from studios in Moradabad and Greater Noida. The practice has worked continuously since 1984 and is led by its principal architects on every project.
What we design
Our work moves between private residences, schools and institutional buildings, hotels and resorts, and religious and community spaces. The building type changes; the questions of proportion, material and light stay the same.

How a project runs
We begin with the people who will use the building, the climate and the site, before a single line is drawn. Proportion, material, light and movement are then developed together rather than in sequence.
Design intent is carried through to site drawing by drawing and detail by detail, and a building is treated as finished only once it is lived in and used.
Built for the North Indian climate
Four decades of practice in western Uttar Pradesh have given the studio a working understanding of local climate, material and craft: hot summers, a short monsoon, cold winters, and the masonry and stone traditions of the region.
