Interior Design

We treat an interior as part of the architecture rather than a layer applied afterwards. Layout, daylight, material and joinery are worked out together, so a room reads as one considered space.

That holds whether we designed the building or are working within an existing house, apartment, hotel or office.

Space planning, material and finish selection, lighting, built-in furniture and joinery details, and the drawings a contractor needs to build them accurately.

Where a client wants a single point of responsibility, the interior can be delivered through our design-build service, with the studio carrying the design through execution on site.

The studio’s approach favours honest materials, human scale and the craft available in the region. Moradabad in particular has a long tradition of metalwork, and North India a deep one of stone and timber.
